Decisions, Decisions – #wm2023 (aka 2019 Regular Decision Admit Edition)

We Admit It! It’s hard to put into words the absolute and unadulterated joy the members of our Admission Committee are feeling right now. We finally get to share the great news with you, the people who have so impressed and inspired us over the course of this admission cycle. Yes, “Good Things” means what you think it means. You are ACCEPTED to William & Mary. Congratulations! It is our absolute pleasure to welcome you to the Class of 2023.

Feel free to do a little dance, shout it from the rooftops, sing that special song, and put on that green and gold. Because you have earned it. Out of almost 15,000 applicants, all of whom were fantastic and talented individuals, we chose you. In short, you were the best of the best.

We use the term “earned” above because this accomplishment was exactly that: earned. You have spent countless hours challenging yourself in and out of the classroom in order to put yourself in this position. All of your hard work has earned you this admission offer, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish as a member of the Tribe.

So we readily admit that we are a bit biased, but we think that William & Mary would be a fantastic place to continue your higher education. Like when you were choosing where to apply, a visit can perhaps best help you make your final college choice. So that’s why we have numerous opportunities coming up for you to experience all that William & Mary has to offer.

Our Day for Admitted Students (think: big, giant celebration) will be on Saturday, April 13th. The whole family is invited, and it will feature students, faculty, and staff who are so excited to welcome you to Williamsburg. If you aren’t able to make it to DFAS, you are also invited to attend our MyWM Monday events, which are held this year on April 1st, April 8th, and April 22nd. Each of these campus events will offer you an inside look at the William & Mary experience. If you are not able to make any of these admitted student programs, it would be our pleasure to host you for one of our regularly scheduled visit opportunities, and even have you sit in on a class!

We encourage you to explore the Welcome site (linked in your decision email) and join the Class of 2023 Facebook group. All these are great ways to learn about our university, and to get you excited about making Williamsburg your home.

Take some time off to celebrate with your family and friends. Get that William & Mary sweatshirt you have been dying to get for months. Post on social media with #wm2023 (we’ve even created a few #wm2023 stickers and GIFs to help you share the news). It’s been a long journey, but you have made it. You can now bask at the light at the end of the tunnel. We will be celebrating with you, every step of the way.

We’ve been waiting a long time to say this: Welcome to the Tribe!
