Meet the Transfer Interns – Rebecca!
Hey everyone! I’m Rebecca a junior at the university majoring in neuroscience and minoring in biochemistry. On campus I am a member of a few different clubs, including Active Minds and the neuroscience club, and I also help in one of the research labs. I transferred to W&M in fall 2015, so the transfer process is definitely still fresh in my mind. I remember just about a year ago I sent my application in, and as soon as I did I was afraid, nervous, and excited all at once. All of these emotions remained until my acceptance letter came in the mail, and I knew William & Mary would be my home away from home! I love this school’s unique personality – some days I will be walking out of the ISC to people playing Frisbee to show tunes and all I can think is “typical William & Mary!”
I transferred from the VCCS with the guaranteed admission agreement so I had a bit of a different experience from others who came from other four-year institutions. When I began the transfer process I was looking up countless things about graduation requirements, and general education requirements I needed to fulfill. I also sought a lot of help and guidance from previous transfers. I’m thrilled I can do that for others who are considering making W&M their home!
