Spring Break ’09!

This spring break I had the pleasure of traveling with two of my closest friends here at WM to visit my boyfriend up at the University of Vermont and go skiing. Spring break at WM is only a week long, but it comes at a well-needed time.

Fresh off the stress of an intense exam week, running the colonial half marathon, and being in a play I was ready to hit the slopes for a little R&R with my best friends. That, my readers, is exactly what I got.

For one glorious week in the middle of March, WM students jet all across the United States for vacation or simply to go home. My friends went all over the place this week. One friend went to Las Vegas, another to the Cayman Islands, another to Texas, some stayed in Virginia, and some of my friends even stayed in glorious Williamsburg. Which just goes to show that William and Mary students will go to great lengths to enjoy the break.

One cool thing that one of my friends did, that is unique to WM, is she went on a service trip here in the US. She led a bunch of WM students to a school in North Carolina and they helped teach classes and work with the kids. Service trips, I think, are some of the most rewarding experiences so it must have been a really cool way to spend the week off of school.

So tomorrow we get back to the daily grind, and maybe I’ll stop at the Daily Grind for kicks, but it’s back to school for us students. Stay dry, stay happy!
