About Ben Boone
I grew up in Suffolk, Virginia, but after spending the past eight years at the College I consider Williamsburg my home. I found myself in the Dean of Students Office six years ago as an undergraduate working for the Orientation program, and continued that work as a Graduate Assistant while I worked on my Master’s degree. Now, I work full-time as one of the many professionals here to assist students in their time at the College. In the office, I am responsible for coordinating our support services for transfer, Gateway, non-traditional, veteran and first-generation students. This means I am the primary contact when any of these students have a concern about their academic or personal success at the College.
Outside of the office I enjoy spending time in Colonial Williamsburg and taking in all the shows and concerts on campus. I also serve on the board of a non-profit that works with street children in Nicaragua to provide clothing and educational opportunities.
