It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time

Hi all, I have a question for you: do you like PB&J sandwiches? I know, I know, kind of an odd question. The reason I’m asking is because if you answered “yes,” then you are in luck my friend! It so happens William & Mary is home to one of the tastiest PB&J sandwiches I have ever enjoyed. It’s at the Daily Grind, actually, which for those of you who don’t know is an independently owned and run coffee shop right in the center of our campus. Besides being one of my favorite spots on campus (great place to study, chat with friends, cozy up with a book), the Grind has absolutely delicious home-made scones and muffins, and–as mentioned earlier–PB&J sandwiches.

You might be wondering just how can a PB&J sandwich be so great. Well, it’s a combination of things, really. To begin with: the bread. You can have your pick among white, wheat or sourdough (I personally recommend the sourdough… it may sound like a strange combination but take my word for it, it’s a treat for your tastebuds!). In between those slices is the perfect ratio of peanut butter, jelly, and for the finishing touch–the sandwich is hot pressed! That’s right, it’s toasted.

So there you have it, people. If you share my enthusiasm for this delicious sandwich, stop in at the Grind and I promise you will not be disappointed.
