Midterm Mayhem

Though midterms settled on the campus like a rain cloud, the sun still shines on the campus of William and Mary this week. Students pack the computers at Swem, but the Sadler Center terrace and the Sunken Gardens has certainly not been empty! This week has been busy. I can definitely admit that. But I’ve been keeping my head up and de-stressing every way I can.

Monday after classes, I grabbed a few friends and carpooled over to one of the many shopping centers in The Burg. We tried on formal dresses (Green and Gold coming up soon!), a plethora of jeans (always a college must-have), and more than enough shoes. Afterwards, we hit dinner together and laughed over our week. There’s always a story from your friends you haven’t heard at WM (and maybe a couple that just get retold and retold): from the argument you overheard in the SC about which is more efficient for travel, mopeds or unicorns, to the impromptu dance party that started in your room at 9 a.m.

I think I’ll survive midterms this semester. Between the close friends, the fall TV lineup, campus activities (tomorrow is dress like a cowboy day at the Marketplace), and restaurants around Williamsburg (sushi…my comfort food), I will make it to Fall Long Weekend! After five days, though, I know I’ll be itching to come back…
