Gotcha

Today, at the beginning of Psychology class, my professor said: “Before we start, I have a few questions to ask:”

“How many of you were born in Virginia?”

Most of us raised our hands.

“How many of you were born in the USA?”

Almost all of us raised our hands.

“One last question—why are you all raising your hands?….Today we are going to learn about operant conditioning: learning to do new behavior that gets us rewarded.”
