An Ambitious Day in DC

Today was one of the most ambitious and interesting days I have had in Washington so far.  For our International Relations seminar, we had a speaker at the William & Mary classroom, multiple speakers at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, and even more speakers at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.  Being able to go inside of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building was particularly exciting, as it is located right next to the White House and contains many of the offices of the White House staff.  It is also just a really impressive and opulent building with a long and important history.  When we left, some of us walked by the White House and saw the various protests going on, and then took a nice walk through the city on our way back to the W&M Washington Center.

Later in the evening, the winter seminar students had the opportunity to go to a Washington Wizards game.  It was such a fun experience and an exciting game to watch.  There were a lot of theatrics, from bursts of flames and fireworks to the Secret Service Dunkers performance during halftime.  We even got free t-shirts.  Going to the Wizards game only added to the unique and fun time I have been having in DC so far.
