Green and Gold Intrasquad Meet

Thursday night the Tribe girls competed in our Green and Gold Intrasquad meet. The gold team defeated the green team, yet, overall there were a lot of great performances. Seniors Teenie and Karla tied for the highest scores on vault; Teenie, Molly, and Larson came in first on bars; Teenie placed first on beam; and Cream finished first on floor. The green team made an impressive six for six beam line-up, counting no falls! Jess, Katie, Larson, Lacy, Lindsey, and Jenny competed in their first Green and Gold meet and it was really exciting to watch them compete! There is still room for improvement but it looks as though this is going to be a great season for the Tribe.

Now it’s time for us to buckle down and start studying for finals. Even with our busy final schedules coming up, we will still be working hard in the gym before we head home for our short winter break. Everyone, including assistant coach, Tim (all the way to California!) will be heading home for the holidays and we will be back in the Burg January 2nd ready to start our intense training for our first meet of the season at George Washington University on January 16th, 2011!!!
