Waiting on Transfer Decisions
You’ve closed all your tabs and submitted all your forms – so now what? You are in the precarious predicament of waiting to hear back from the schools you have applied to. Well, with a positive attitude and enough distraction, decisions will be out before you know it! It’s not super fun to think about, but you are probably busy finishing up the semester at your current school. However, if you still find yourself with a lot of down time, you might find yourself worrying about your application. Here are a few things you could do instead:
- Start a new series on Netflix while trying to ignore thoughts of your application.
- Pick up knitting, not counting each stitch as a moment closer to the release of decisions.
- Learn to bake, measuring each ingredient with the same precision you use to check your email for decisions.
Look, you’re probably going to worry about your application, and that’s normal! Transferring is a big decision, but that doesn’t mean it has to be an overly stressful one. Do try to take time to relax, but most of all, just remember all the hard work you’ve put into your studies and your application. Now all you can do is wait, knowing that you have done your best and it is out of your hands.
Best of luck to all you!! As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I don’t know what to do. I’ve been offered admission to my second choice school, but I’ve been wait listed at W&M, which is my number one choice. I want to remain on the wait list, but I do not want to accept admission to my second choice school only to find out that I can be accepted to W&M. I graduate community college in May, so I want to have a school to go to this fall.
