I’m Back! Meet the Transfer Interns – Joey Cronin
Hey everyone,
Guess whose back? I am so excited to be back in my second year as one of the Transfer Admission Interns this year! While I miss Sammi and Megan all the time, I am so excited to see the awesome work that Esther and Meredith can get done for you all this year!
I have had an incredibly busy summer. I moved up to Boston for an internship which was a truly amazing experience. In college, we get the idea of what it’s like to be self-sufficient and to live alone, but this summer really sealed the deal for me. It was the first time I had been so far from home with no network of family or friends to catch me if I fell. I felt truly autonomous and learned so much about myself and my values in having to make all new friends and figure out my place in the bustling life of the city. I learned so much about what I want to do with my life, too. I got the chance to work at a huge consulting firm and see the inner workings of Fortune 500 business dealings right in front of me. It was honestly a wild ride.
That being said, I am now back on campus and I am so happy to be back with my friends in my favorite place for one more stellar year. I am currently in the thick of job recruitment for my full-time, post-graduation job (add me on LinkedIn) which is super intense and time consuming but also super fun! I am learning about so many intriguing opportunities out in the real world and trying to find my way back to Boston! Outside of job recruitment, I have officially transitioned into my role as Director of Camp Kesem, something I mentioned in my first ever blog post last year having just gotten back from camp. Being Director of the most inspiring cause I have ever been able to be a part of has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life to date (next to working with all of you transfers, of course).
I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for all of us! With our first Tribe Transfer Event happening today, I am positively stoked to be back in the swing of things and can’t wait to meet as many of you as possible this year!
Welcome back and see you soon!
-Joey
