Final Thoughts: Trust Yourself
Hey again! I hope all of you have had a relaxing end of the semester and finals aren’t stressing you out too much. Summer is just around the corner, so stay motivated!
Anyway, now that many of you have made it this far, you might be asking yourself “well, which school should I really attend?” The advice I can give to you is simple: trust your gut. Whether you are aware of it or not, and after visiting and applying to any number of colleges and universities, you probably already have some sort of inkling where you would like to spend the next 2-3 years of your life. You may not have a clear destination in mind, but sit on the feeling of uncertainty for a while. Don’t think about where you want to go, let alone what you want to study. After a few days or week, the truth will always come out, and the right answer will become clear to you!
I cannot type away to tell you all the wonderful aspects about William & Mary and why you have to come here, and nor should I. As I see it, my role is to simply share with you the experience I had going though the exact same process you are going though now.
All I can share with you is this bit: I just knew, after visiting Williamsburg and talking with the students and professors on campus, that this was the right place for me. No one needed to convince me, and I didn’t need to convince myself. After all, that’s the true beauty of the whole process, feeling comfortable with the right decision! So just some final words: go with your gut and don’t over-think the process. Wherever you decide to go, it is your own feelings and personal well-being that will make all the difference!
