Family Visits:

So my phone rang at about 9:00AM this morning and I was surprised to see my mom on the caller ID since she knew that I would already be in the office and working at that time.  Luckily I was down in the phone room and it was a pretty quiet morning so I was able to answer the call.  I picked up and said hello and my mom shocked me with the news that she is coming to visit me in a couple of days!  Now, I live in Florida and I wasn’t planning on going home or even seeing my parents until I flew back for Thanksgiving break.  So needless to say I am so thrilled that I will get to see my mom and sister for a few days this weekend!

One of the most enjoyable parts of the fall semesters at William and Mary are the annual family weekends.  All students’ family members are invited to visit campus to spend time with their students, participate in campus activities, and watch one of our home football games.  I remember my freshman year and how excited I was to have my parents come to William and Mary on family weekend so that I could show them around and catch them up on the time I spent at the school so far.  I was so proud to show them around this beautiful campus that had become my home!  With my mom coming to visit me in a few days, I still feel just as proud.
