About Shahenda Helmy

Hello friends! I’m Shahenda and I majored in English with a Middle Eastern Studies minor. As a Kuwaiti national, an Egyptian citizen, and a resident of Arlington, Virginia, I am so happy to have spent time making William & Mary another place to call home.

At the College, I kept myself busy by being involved in as many extracurriculars as possible. I was the chair of the Conduct & Honor Advisor Program (CHAP), an organization I was a part of beginning my freshman year; I was also a member of Alpha Phi Omega (APO) the service fraternity, an Orientation Aide, a tour guide, a tutor for College Partnership for Kids, and a teaching assistant for the Arabic Dept. I interned at the College as a Senior Interviewer, so I got a wonderful dose of Williamsburg humidity that could probably last a lifetime.
