About Ashleigh Brock
Ashleigh Brock was an Assistant Director in the Sherman and Gloria H. Cohen Career Center before her departure in June of 2013. Ashleigh primarily advised underclassmen as the coordinator of first year and sophomore programming. In the fall 2011 semester, Ashleigh rolled out a new first and second year career experience program that focuses on preparing students to declare majors, explore careers, and develop career resources, like resumes and online portfolios. She also served as the liaison to Tribe Varsity Athletics, creating athlete-focused career programming and assisting in recruiting efforts.
Ashleigh has spent her career advising students in transition, having worked in college admissions, orientation and career services over the last several years. She received her Master of Arts degree in Student Affairs Administration in May 2010 from Michigan State University, where she worked as a Career Advisor for the Career Services Network. Ashleigh completed her undergraduate work at the University of Richmond in 2005.
Outside of the Career Center, Ashleigh was a BodyPump fitness instructor for W&M Campus Recreation and a philanthropy advisor to Delta Delta Delta sorority. She also has a keen interest in the productive, innovative use of social media in higher education.
