Of all the things in Colonial Williamsburg…

After only ¾ of a year at William & Mary, there are plenty of activities and places yet to be explored. For example, I’d love to attend a Massage Club meeting or successfully climb the rock wall in the Rec Center. But there is one thing in particular I haven’t yet done that I now have my heart set on – it’s something simple, but it would be a nice addition to my Williamsburg college experience.

Drinking apple cider in CW. That is my objective for what’s left of winter.

I discovered it yesterday as my friends and I headed on one of our many adventures to the William and Mary Bookstore. It was an unusually cold day in Williamsburg, and everyone I saw in town had a huge 12 inch mug with steam rising over it. Walking behind one of these mugs, I caught the most amazing smell – the kind of smell they wrap up and sell in Bath and Body Work lotions. I searched everywhere for where these mugs were to be found, but did not discover until the end of the journey their true location. Apparently, buying one of these mugs ensures you free apple cider whenever you bring it to Williamsburg. With three and a quarter years left at the College, I know I will get good use of an apple cider mug.

I can’t wait to taste the sweetness of free apple cider.
