We’re Live

Admit It! Starting your college application early is likely something you’ve told yourself you’ll do before the summer ends. Well, starting today you have the opportunity to follow through on that goal. It’s August 1, and that means the Common Application is live.

images[10]W&M is an exclusive user of the Common Application; this means the Common Application is the only application we accept. The only essay we require is the essay required by the Common Application. The Common Application will direct you to W&M’s member questions (questions W&M chooses to ask above and beyond what the Common Application asks). It will also allow you to submit your application fee and to request recommendations from your counselor and teachers. Beyond that, you only need to submit official standardized test scores and a transcript in order to apply for admission. (Note: transfers and international applicants have a few additional application requirements.)

You can start, work on, finish and submit your application anytime between now and one of our two application deadlines for freshmen (November 1 for Early Decision, January 1 for Regular Decision) or for transfers (November 1 for spring admission, March 1 for fall admission). We will provide additional blogs on how we process applications once submitted to us later this fall.

Additionally, most of our fall visit programs also “went live” today (Fall Focus Days, Tribe Transfer Days, fall information sessions and tours and Tribe Shadow Days). Our fall interviews and class visit program will be available for registration as of September 1.

It’s a new day, a new month and the official start of a new application year.
