25 things…
Okay, so today I created my first “25 things,” thingy on Facebook! Well, it was actually my first ever note as well, so it was kind of cool to be able to do both at the same time! “25 things” is this new phenomenon, well, I guess not so new, but you write 25 random things about yourself that no one really knows. For example, my number one was that I snore, and number 16 was that I was the annoying nervous traveler that always pushes the call button about 17 times on an international flight. It was really interesting to think of 25 things that my friends here at WM don’t know about me. in a word, it was difficult.
Which leads me to the reason I wrote my own “25 things,” I feel as though when you come to college here you get so close to your freshman hall, your club or varsity sports team, your sorority sisters, or whatever you decided to do on campus, and you realize that they become closer to you in a quicker amount of time than any ever before. Sometimes I feel like going to college is a little like going to summer camp, where classes are the daily activities, and dorms are the cabins. So, it was tough for me to find 25 random things that I haven’t already told my friends here about. I feel like they know everything about me and have seen me at my best and worst times. From bad breakups, to having to take each other to the health center, and celebrating good grades and first dates, there is never a moment that goes uncovered.
So, when I tagged all my friends in my “25 things” note, it was really funny to see their reactions when they read it. One of my good friends, junior Nick Griesbach, mentioned how he liked that I was nervous about the year 2012 and the Aztec predictions in my number 12 because he was too! It was cool to see my friends reactions when they learned that I have fed wild dolphins in Australia, and climbed Mount Killimanjaro. Life is too short not to focus on the happy moments and incredible memories you have made. Life is also to short not to share those memories. I know that I will really enjoy sharing more memories with my friends here at WM, and creating our own. Maybe someday we can create an entirely new 25!
