About Aaron Barksdale
While at William & Mary I learned more about identity and diversity. I volunteered in an educational program with the Center for Student Diversity, facilitating conversations that put our community into perspective. Similarly, as an intern at the Muscarelle Museum of Art, I engaged with professors, art historians, and art educators in conversations about sociocultural identities and art. Also, working in the New Student Orientation Program and the Office of Undergraduate Admission further integrated my interests in community building and creativity. My love for diversity and art led me from William & Mary to Teachers College, Columbia University, and are now my inspiration for learning how to teach others of education affirming qualities in art.
