ROCKS IN MY SHOE!

Granted many students at William and Mary do not have time to watch television[1], I believe watching cartoons is an outlet for relieving stress and returning to our inner child.  The students at the middle school where I volunteer for my Service Learning class have been singing this song from the show Phineas and Ferb called “Squirrels in my Pants”[2]. This song brought to mind a common occurrence of rocks in my shoe at William and Mary.  Often times while walking across campus in any type of slip on shoes, I find myself stomping on rocks in my shoe. First I wonder how they got in there because the process is never conscious and getting them out is also a time consuming feat that I do not have time for.  On my journeys behind Landrum Hall and the Sadler Center, I find myself singing this song:
