Packing Our Bags
We Admit It! Admission work is seasonal. Fall is travel season. It’s when we get out of our offices, we get off campus and we visit prospective students and families in their backyards. Over the course of the next few months we will attend scores of college fairs and visit hundreds of high schools. We will be on hand to answer your questions, whether you’re just starting out or whether you’re putting the finishing touches on your application. No question is silly or not worth asking.
How will you know if we’re in your area?
- If we’re visiting your specific high school, you will get an email notification from us (assuming you’ve signed up to receive information from W&M). If not, your guidance/college counseling office will know if we’re planning a visit.
- If your high school or area is hosting a college fair, the host of the fair will have a list of those colleges and universities that are attending.
- If we’re putting on an evening program in your area, we will send you an invitation via email (assuming again you’ve signed up to receive information from W&M).
While we do cover all parts of Virginia (attending college fairs and conducting high school visits across the Commonwealth), we are only able to do limited travel out of state. Do not worry if we are not coming to your area. If you have questions you can always visit campus, call us (757-221-4223), email us (admission@wm.edu), correspond with your regional dean or post a comment to this blog.
We’ll see you on the road.

Comments are closed on posts older than one year, but we still want to hear from you. If you have a comment or question for us, please email admission@wm.edu.
If you plan to be in Northern California, will you let me know if the date hasn’t passed? It would be great to see someone. I visited W & M when I was 15 and fell in love with the campus and students. I plan to apply for regular admission.
Caroline
@Caroline Ives, unfortunately we won’t be traveling to California this cycle. If you have any questions you’re welcome to post them here and we’ll be happy to answer them.
