Go Forth and Apply
Admit It! You’re torn between submitting applications as soon as possible and procrastinating as long as the various deadlines allow. Well whether you’re an organized, always-making-to-do-lists-so-you-can-check-stuff-off-your-to-do-list, I-eat-procrastination-for-breakfast-type person or whether you’re a procrastination-is-my-middle-name, why-do-today-what-you-can-put-off-until-tomorrow-type person, the freshman application for W&M is yours for the taking.
As of today, the W&M Supplement to the Common Application is live. Once you’ve completed those items and paid the application fee you can click submit. You’re not quite done at that point; you still need to submit standardized test scores, a transcript and any recommendations you’d like (a number within reason please) plus first-semester grades if you’re applying regular decision or the Early Decision agreement if applying Early Decision. If you need some encouragement or advice, check out our additional blogs on our application components (the essay, what to write, what not to write, extracurricular activities, the optional submission). If you need comic relief, watch our video message on the writing process for college applications.
Go forth and apply Class of 2016 (and transfers your Supplement will be live soon)!

Can you write sometime about transfer admission process? Specifically for Spring Transfer applicants
Lexi, we actually have blogged about the transfer process and we will continue to do so. The spring transfer process is no different from the fall process. We encourage you to check out some of these blogs. If they don’t cover the topics you’re interested in, let us know and we’ll be happy to blog about those.

Dean Livingston – can you please comment on whether W&M wants all of our ACT scores or can we just send the highest composite. Understand you will only use the highest composite. Thank you.
WM Hopeful, we generally recommend that students submit all scores to us (both SAT and ACT). For the SAT, we superscore (meaning we combine your best math with your best critical reading and best writing — regardless if they are from different dates) and compile your best composite score. For the ACT, I don’t think you can pick and choose individual subject scores to send. You simply to have to spend all scores and while we don’t superscore the ACT we will evaluate your best composite. Hope that helps.
