Miller Hall–A Reason to Wake Up for 8 AM Class
This fall was an exciting time for undergraduate and graduate business school students. Fortunately, I am one of them and have the privilege of taking classes in the new business school building, Miller Hall. The building is beautiful on both the inside and out. While I was dreading waking up for an 8 AM class twice a week, it is much less daunting knowing I will be attending class in such a fresh building. Not only is the interior design and architecture of the building pristine, but the technology is all state of the art. All of the classrooms are equipped with projectors and flat screen televisions that can be hooked up to desktops or laptops.
My favorite part of the building is the dining section. The Miller Hall dining provides some of the best food on the William and Mary campus. Students can use their flex dollars to get cafe drinks, burgers, paninis, salads, and much more. The ingredients are fresh and there are definitely a lot of healthy options. The cafe service is also perfect for that early morning pick me up. It is also a luxury to have so many group meeting rooms since many of the assignments in the business school involve group work and group projects. All of these rooms have flat screen televisions as well. At my last group meeting, besides getting lost in the maze known as Miller basement, a member of my group plugged their laptop into the larger screen so we could all actively participate and contribute to our project, as well as view the finished product. Obviously, I am a huge fan of this new building and I recommend that all William and Mary students take a class in Miller, or at the very least visit.
