Favorite Spot

The Wren Portico was always my favorite spot on campus. I liked to go there whenever I was stressed, wanted solitude or just a pleasant view. I liked to sit on the steps and look out across the Sunken Garden and bask in the beauty of our campus. If I needed comfort, I liked to imagine that the Great Hall and the Wren Chapel were the two arms of the College embracing me. What was so great about this spot was that every time I went there I was forced to reflect. I was always reminded that William & Mary really was the most magical place on Earth and that I was so fortunate to be here.
