And the thank yous go to….

“I looked around the room and was so thankful for the opportunity to have met these people.” The best thing about this statement is that it would be just as true in the undergraduate admission conference room as it would be in my sorority sister’s living room. My coworkers and the people I’ve met since moving to Williamsburg have been some of the best people I’ve ever had the opportunity to interact with. I’ve learned a ton and have had a ton of fun while doing so.

I can think of a number of ways to go about sharing the things that I’m most thankful for, but that list would go on forever. So, I’ve decided to compile a list of things I’m thankful for, at or associated with the work I do and the people I work with here at W&M. So here it goes…

I’m thankful for…

Cuban coffee

Heather gray monotone outfits

Bald guys who break dance

Inside jokes

Small towns with bowling alleys in walking distance

Dry erase boards with a cornucopia of markers

Breakfast pow wows over half a bagel

Quotes of the day

Community soda

Panera

Nicknames

WaWa

Optional submissions

Comfy shoes

People who cook

Friends who like poetry

Applied Hair and Hair Theory

“The Crew”

Car Maxx

ZPBS

Karaoke

Pandora Music Radio

Post-its

The cool kids in the loft

90’s music

Geranimals…for adults and made by Eddie Bauer

Outlets

Videos on cell phones

And last but certainly not least… I’m thankful for Henry, Earl, Mandy Cane, Betsy Q, Deborah, Jenn, Kia, Kim, La La, Peter, Dizzle, Stacy, Steve, Wendy, Robin, Sandra, Bill, and all the students and staff who make my job here at the College so much fun. I’ve had an amazing time so far here at W&M and I’m certain that the fun times have just begun.
