Tennis and golf are fun…but I think I’ll stick to gymnastics

Jessica PritchardHey Tribe Fans!

As you have read in the past entries, everyone has been busy enjoying their summer. Kristin been attending the Rockies games, she just went to the Brewers vs. Braves game most recently. Katie, Larson, Lindsey, and Lacy all made a trip down to Williamsburg this weekend to visit the infamous Ellis brothers. Most of the freshmen are gearing up for the school year as they are all out getting stuff for their dorm. They are all getting excited for college life as they just got assigned their dorm rooms, three are in Dupont & Stacia & Maggie are rooming together in Barret. Stacia is also taking some time to relax and is enjoying her time in Florida at the beach with her family. Bree went to the Eric Church concert last week and has been keeping herself busy with gym, working, and the beach.

My summer travels have begun with my first stop in Cinci to see alum Max Sabert . We’ve been having a lot of fun, last night we went to the Lebanon Country Fair and I got to experience my first ever Demolition Derby! I also am taking up other sports this summer such as tennis, and today I went golfing for the first time. I definitely have to say I enjoy gymnastics more, but golf is more fun than it looks on TV. We are going to the Cincinnati Reds game later tonight against the Braves. As for next week, I will be heading to Pittsburgh to visit family and friends. This is the first summerI’ve spent away from Pittsburgh as my family just moved to Chapel Hill last year.

This past week, Mary just sent out our meet schedule. It has already gotten us excited for the upcoming 2012 season! It looks like we are going to be quite busy traveling every weekend, but I already can’t wait! I know I’m looking forward to having a few meets in North Carolina this year, so my family is able to watch more Tribe gymnastics. Also, we will be heading to my hometown in Pittsburgh to compete at Pitt which is going to be a blast.

Hope everyone is staying cool in this global warming heat/humidity this summer!

Jessica Pritchard
