Serving others

Dina McNaughton Hey all you Tribe fans! This past week has been a great week for Tribe gymnastics. We are continuing to get better with every practice and all the girls are working very hard! We’ve been doing pressure sets on beam, and bars, and training hard on vault and floor. Routines are looking a lot more polished this week as we prepare for Green and Gold on December 2nd. The leadership council has now finalized the teams for Green and Gold Intrasquad, and we are all very excited to show our routines to the judges when we get back from Thanksgiving break!

Not only did we work hard inside the gym, but we also worked hard outside in our community. This Monday we finished our SPCA food and supply drive for the local animal shelter. All members of the team participated in donating dog and cat food and supplies. Also on Sunday, we finished off our week by volunteering for a couple of hours at the Foodbank’s Mayflower Marathon. It was nice to all come together as a team and be a part of something great by unloading cars and taking donations so that those less fortunate can enjoy a hot holiday meal. We concluded our week with a team dinner at head coach Mary Lewis‘ house, where we all enjoyed a nice home-cooked meal. As we get ready to head home, we would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving!
