Parent’s weekend

Lindsey NicholThis past week was an exciting one for Tribe Gymnastics. On Thursday, we celebrated Cream’s 21st birthday, enjoying a delicious meal from Plaza Azteca. Friday marked the start of Parent’s Weekend, and everyone enjoyed seeing familiar faces again! Saturday, the team worked the 50-50 raffle before the home football game against Villanova. After the game, the team and their families gathered for a cookout at Teenie and Kristin’s house! I had the opportunity to visit my brother at the Air Force Academy in Colorado this weekend so I was unable to attend. But, in the end, it was a fun weekend for everyone, and I wish I could have been there to meet all the families. Now that our families are gone, it’s back to reality! One more week filled with numerous tests for most of us and then we can relax during fall break! Good luck to Kristin who is having surgery on Thursday! We will all be thinking about you!

In the gym, Tribe gymnastics is continuing to get better perfecting old skills and learning new ones. Cream’s double front dismount off bars and Taryn’s Yeagar are coming along nicely. On beam we started doing skill sets and partner skill sets. That’s one step closer to routines! Vaults are looking better as Tim decided to give extra attention to vault last week. Everyone is looking good in the gym and preparing for a great season.

Go Tribe!
