One month until intra-squad meet

Larson LasekThe Tribe Gymnastics team is looking strong, and everybody is working hard. We are now within the four week mark from our Green & Gold intra-squad meet. After lots of endurance work on floor, we are now starting full routines. Also those of us who have double backs as the second or third pass in our routine are working towards doing them by ourselves. On bars we now have full sets as part of our assignments! On beam the assignments are much more team oriented. For example we have timed warm ups and full routines that do not count unless several people make them consecutively. This adds a bit of pressure and makes us work together. Vaults are looking more consistent, so soon we’re going to start landing on harder mats.

This past weekend the team volunteered at the Colonial Classic, a meet at the WISC. There were two sessions, and members of the team were at both. We showed up in our matching Tribe Gymnastics shirts and helped out by timing warm ups and flashing scores. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we all agreed that it was fun to watch the younger girls compete. They were so cute, and we could tell many of them really love gymnastics.
