Irene didn’t keep us down!

It’s been a crazy week for the Tribe!  Freshmen finished up orientation and classes started for everyone on Wednesday.  After just two days of classes, the campus was evacuated because of Irene.  However, many of us stayed in Williamsburg and had a great time together getting through the storm.  We watched movies, played games, and spent time bonding with our teammates.  Most importantly, we all stayed safe and are ready to get back to class and into the gym.

Luckily the team was able to get in a few practices together before the storm hit.  Everyone is looking great!  We’re all getting back into the swing of things and trying to get ready for official practice to start on September 14th.  The freshmen are working on adjusting to the new equipment and training in a new atmosphere.  It’s so much fun practicing with the music turned up and the team cheering each other on.  One thing that I love about being a part of the Tribe is how supportive everyone is of each other, inside and out of the gym.  We’re also starting cardio and lifting this week, which I’m really looking forward to.

Can’t wait for a great season of Tribe Gymnastics to start!
