Halloween Fun

Katie DurstThe week of Halloween was a special one for the Tribe Gymnastics Team. We had Tribe pride theme day on Thursday and Friday’s theme was black and orange for Halloween. After a short, but productive practice on Friday our different classes got together in costume. My freshman class was the spice girls and put on a performance. Our sophomore class dressed as the fruit of the loom. Our junior, Kristin Milardo, was the lone ranger. Last but not least, the seniors made a comical appearance as senior citizens.

The team is continually progressing toward our Green & Gold intra-squad meet, which is just a month away. Vault is really looking good, Melissa Cream has been twisting yurchenko tuck fulls and I saw some great front-front pikes from Lacy Cummings. On bars we are doing three-quarter routines now! But two of our seniors Melissa Cream and Taryn Saunders have been leading the way making their full sets! Beam had great team building assignments with partner routines. On floor we are continuing strong with skill sets. Our routines on each event are really coming together.

Go Tribe!!
