Spooky Season

Hey everyone!

Happy Halloween! I love this time of year. Fall is by far my favorite season when all the leaves are changing color, the weather becomes ideal for sweaters, and the smell of Colonial Williamsburg apple cider wafts through the air on campus. William & Mary is particularly stunning in the fall; the old brick just works so well with the blue sky and crisp leaves. Anyway, what I am here to talk about this week are the super fun (and spooky) opportunities you have as part of the Tribe during this amazing time of year.

One of my favorite things to do in the fall in Williamsburg is to grab a couple friends and take a walk through Colonial Williamsburg in the evening. We like to walk around, get some hot apple cider from the CW stand, maybe catch some live music, and just generally take in the beautiful scenery while watching the sun set over the Governor’s Palace. Honestly, I can’t think of a better evening. If you’re feeling really spooky, you could even take a ghost tour of CW at night. Oftentimes, I have friends that actually run the ghost tours so I can go and support them and listen to them tell scary stories which is always a lot of fun. In short, there’s tons of really awesome activities to do here in the ‘Burg in the fall. If fall is your favorite season, like it is mine, you will be extremely happy to end up on such a gorgeous campus should you transfer here!

Until next time,
Joey Cronin ’20
