To-do Lists

Well, I haven’t blogged since last Tuesday.  I know what you’re thinking, and no, I wasn’t too busy rancing to do it.  The office has really been inundated with visitors lately.  We’ve had groups of almost 200 people attend our sessions, and we’ve all been giving about two tours per day on intern duty days (like today for me).

This past weekend, I went into it with a long list of things that I wanted to accomplish.  I planned to catch up on all of my evaluations, work on some things for the fraternity, go shopping, and prepare for the UCAB retreat coming up this weekend.  Did I accomplish any of those?  No.  What was I doing instead?  I couldn’t tell you.  It was a very lazy weekend that was much needed.

During the school year I often rely on my many to-do lists for each day to make sure I get everything done.  When you’re a busy W&M student, you learn to live by your lists and become best friends with your day planner.  If I lost that little green book, I would be incredibly lost.  However, lists definitely don’t do any good if you never cross anything off.  I’m renewing my commitment to the list I made for this weekend and hopefully get everything done in the next two days.  Ready…Go!
