Welcome Home!

Hello all!

With Spring 2017 starting in just a few days, we’d like to take a minute to catch you all up on what’s been happening with Peer Advising! First, however, we’d like to welcome the newest members of the Tribe! We all hope you find your place here at W&M and grow to love it as much as we do! If you have any lingering questions, feel free to schedule a meeting with a Peer Advisor. Peer Advisors are here to help you learn about registration and academic policies during orientation, but we’re also available to help you with academic life and policies throughout the school year. If you don’t know any PAs, don’t worry—you’ll be matched to one with similar academic interests! Sign up for a meeting.

Next, there’s a new Peer Advising Executive Board! Chatham Wilking ’18 is returning as President, Katie Van der Hyde ’18 is the new Vice President of Training, Sarah Kyle ’19 is the Vice President of Administration, and Alyssa Tidmore ’18 is the Vice President of Retention, Recruitment, and Communications. Get to know more about us. We’d love to meet you!

Finally, don’t forget that the Peer Advising application is open until February 17th! We’re looking for students from all academic disciplines who are interested in helping incoming freshmen and transfers to learn about academic life and registration here at W&M! It’s also an excellent opportunity to build new relationships and leadership skills. Rising sophomores and above are welcome to apply. We look forward to meeting you all!

Thanks, and good luck with the upcoming semester!
