Moving Out and other random thoughts

I have officially begun the daunting task of unpacking all of my college stuff into my room at home, as if packing up my dorm room wasn’t hard enough.  Technically I moved out on Wednesday, but I have been giving myself downtime before dealing with the unpacking process.

Move-out day was gorgeous.  The campus is fantastic this time of year with all the green space and beautiful flowers.   I was ready for summer at home, but the weather was so nice I wanted to just sit on the bench by Jamestown all day.  The sun was out, but there was enough shade to keep super-pale me from burning up.  And did I mention that our campus has rabbits, which means in the spring we have baby rabbits that are adorable! I made my friends stop and watch this baby rabbit for two minutes before our final walk to ice-cream.  Baby rabbits!

…Back to the move-out experience.  I always underestimate the amount of stuff that accumulates in my dorm over the year. (Did I really need that many pairs of shoes) I definitely had less than last year, but it still filled the poor little Prius to the brim.  I will soon be making a list of what’s not coming back with me when I return to the same room in the fall.

Ok, off to more bumming around the house before work and internships start on Tuesday. I’ll do my best to update you on summer adventures, and I hope I see some of your faces (although of course I won’t recognize them) on campus in the fall!
