And So Begins The Midterm Season…

The weather is finally starting to change for the better and I can feel spring in the air. The student body is starting to shed its layers and campus is awakening with a new energy…Just in time for midterms.

Every year without a fail, students at William and Mary are dumbfounded by how quickly the threat of midterms seem to materialize: “Wait. We’ve already had 6 weeks of classes?! We’re already halfway through the semester?!” This is a response typically heard by everyone the week before midterms start. Students rush to Swem in hoards and seem to camp out, trying to make up all of the reading that conveniently went unnoticed on their collection of syllabi.

Last week I had 2 papers due, this week I have 2 midterms, and the week after spring break I have one last midterm to take. All in all I can’t complain because everything is pretty spaced out, exactly the way I like it. Some of my friends aren’t as lucky. But with the promise of spring break just days away, everyone makes it through the frantic midterm season and is granted with the break we all need.
