“All the Single Ladies, All the Single Ladies!”

William and Mary students aren’t all that quirky and weird. We do have lives that go beyond studying for exams. This past weekend I went to Beyonce’s” I AM… Sasha Fierce” concert in Newark, New Jersey at the IZOD center. She was awesome in every aspect. Her all girl band (if u didn’t know girls rule!) was flawless.  They played the drums, acoustic guitar, piano, and even bongos (only Beyonce’s band)!!  Beyonce sang all her hit songs including ones from her B’Day album, Dangerously in Love album, and even old Destiny’s Child albums.  During a costume change her backup singers, who have beautiful voices, did their own number and her dancers also did a skit to various snippets of Beyonce’s songs.  She did a tribute to Michael Jackson through her song “Halo”.  My favorite part had to be when Beyonce came out of the sky in the brightest gold heels I’ve ever seen onto the mini-stage amongst the audience.  It was by far the best concert I have ever seen and I would definitely recommend Beyonce in concert. This ultimately supports my conclusion:  nerds can like Beyonce too!
