Adreanne’s Workout Plan

I mean it’s not Kanye West’s but it’s definitely as effective as his. You should work out at William and Mary so you don’t get that freshman fifteen, sophomore spread, junior junk in your trunk, and senior seventeen. The best way to assure that you will work out is to put it on your schedule—actually write it in your planner. The exact time, days you can go, and how much time you allot; the more specific the more terrific and it increases the chances of it happening. If you are a planner user and it doesn’t get written down, it will not get done. I had to literally pencil it in every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after my morning class because it is easy to make plans during that block when it is not written down on your schedule.

Now, I know I’m a list person but everyone is not. If planners aren’t effective for you and you still not motivated to work out, try planning your workouts with others. If you are looking for buddies, you should probably join the Mu Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta’s PHASE program. Please Help a Sista Exercise or PHASE happens every Wednesday from 9-10pm at the Rec Center. This a great opportunity because you can work out and fellowship with your college mates.

If the rec center is too far, don’t fret you can work out in your own dorm room; YouTube an exercise show from Fit Tv or do a series of crunches on a yoga mat. You don’t need the Rec Center to stay fit. Some people like to jog and you can do that anywhere on the beautiful campus. Just put on your Ipod playlist with your Mike Posner, Usher, Taio Cruz, and Beyonce mix, and work that body.
