Once Upon An Application Deadline

Admit It! If you’re like most of our applicants, you’re waiting until 11:59 p.m. on January 1 to click submit and send us your Common Application.  No worries.  We understand that you’re making your application list and checking it twice.  If you want to wait until 11:59 p.m. on December 31, you go right ahead.  Heck if you want to wait until 12:01 a.m. on January 2 that’s okay with us too.  If you run to the post office on January 1 only to realize it’s a federal holiday and then realize that January 2 is a Sunday and your post office will remain closed, take a deep breath.  We’ll accept things postmarked on January 3.  Regardless of time zones, actual submit times or postmarks, our goal is the same as yours; to get your application here and to get it completed.  We do not look at the postmark or time submitted when reviewing your application and you won’t hear from us any sooner based on when you click submit.  So take your time, proofread that essay, print preview your application and click submit when you’re ready.

For those of you who have last-minute questions, fear not.  We’re here for you.  While our office will be closed December 23 – January 2 we will be checking our admission@wm.edu in-box once daily during the holiday with the exception of December 25.  We will also be checking our social networking sites on Facebook and College Confidential daily.

Good luck and Happy Holidays!
