We Admit It! The sun is out, the weather is warm, and campus is as beautiful as ever. Summer is officially here in Williamsburg, which sadly means that our 2015-2016 admission cycle must come to an end. On June 16 (transfer applicants) and June 17 (freshman applicants), we sent an email out to all applicants remaining on our waitlist letting them know that both our incoming freshman class and incoming transfer cohort are full.
At this point, we do not anticipate admitting any additional students. This being said, there is always a chance that things will change, and space will become available. As such, all waitlisted students (both freshman and transfer) who remain interested in William & Mary, and who would like to remain on our waitlist, should complete the online form that was linked in last week’s email. Should we be able to make additional admission offers, we will only consider those applicants who have completed this form. Any further admission offers would be made by August 1.
Because this admission cycle is coming to a close, this will be our last blog post pertaining to our 2015-2016 freshman and transfer applicants. Similarly, we will not be sending any more email updates to these applicants. Going forward, if William & Mary remains your top choice, we encourage you to learn more about our transfer application process. Any specific questions about our transfer application process can be directed to our Director of Transfer Admission, Whitney Link. The next transfer application deadline (for January 2017 enrollment) is November 1, 2016.
To all of our applicants and their families, we sincerely thank you for taking this ride with us. From meeting you during your visits to Williamsburg, to reading your impressive applications, it has been an absolute joy getting to know you. Whether you’ll be joining us at William & Mary next fall, or attending some other fine institution, we wish you all the best, and can’t wait to see all of the great things that you will accomplish.
W&M Class of 2021, and incoming transfer students for spring and fall 2017, you’re up! We look forward to working with you.
