Tribe Pride — Basketball Spirit

This weekend marks the beginning of the CAA basketball tournament, the winner of which goes on to represent the CAA in the NCAA March Madness tournament. Not only has W&M’s basketball team had an incredible, record breaking year, but we are in prime position to make it to the championship game for a chance to defeat our rivals for the championship!

All of this success has certainly been felt on campus. Basketball games have been full of screaming fans sporting green and gold, and the new athletic fan club, the Tribal Fever, has been making waves with fun events and spirited attendance at games. Whatever the outcome of the tournament, W&M students are proud of our Tribe and hope the success continues year after year.

Unfortunately, the CAA tournament falls during Spring Break this year, but that isn’t stopping some of the Tribe’s most dedicated fans from rearranging plans so they can attend. For the rest of us who can’t be there in person, you can bet we’ll be supporting the team in our hearts from wherever we may be. If you find yourself close by and with nothing to do this weekend, head over to Richmond and cheer us on. Go Tribe!
