Midway through Summer

Larson LasekThis past week marked the middle of summer for the Tribe. I’m actually writing this blog from William and Mary Hall, as I was in the training room this morning discussing my knee rehab. My knee has been getting better little by little, and I’m gearing up to get fully released in August. I’ve been able to start full sprints, tuck jumps, and jumping on the trampoline in addition to some basic gymnastics! This morning Jenny and I helped Mary coach a church group for a couple of hours. We showed them a little of what we do, and then let them try some basics. Then we practiced with Mary afterwards. It feels good to be working out in this gym again. While Mary was here with us, Tim is in North Carolina coaching the “Beach Break” camp at Bree’s gym. In addition to working out in the gym, Bree has been working at an ice cream shop and making it to the beach as much as she can.

Other Tribe gymnasts have had their share of summer activities as well.  Kristin just left for Arizona to see the MLB All-Star game with her boyfriend. Lindsey just got back from a week in Jamaica with her family. Allie saw a Rascal Flatts concert with some of her friends back home. Stacia went to visit Maggie in Chicago.  Molly had a great time this past weekend celebrating her sister’s wedding.

That’s all for now. Hope everyone’s having a great summer!!
