Welcome to the Tribe, Transfers!

Congratulations on your admission to William & Mary, new transfers! I remember when I got my decision email two years ago, I literally stared at the email for a solid five minutes in disbelief.

I know it can be a tricky decision to transfer, but I think the most important thing is to take your time and weigh out the positives and negatives of each school. I know this can be extremely difficult for transfers because we are all about to be busy studying for finals and writing papers, whereas high school seniors have more time to mull over their decision without dealing with the rigor of a college student’s schedule. Obviously, I love William & Mary and I hope you choose to come here. But, take the time you need away from studying to pick the perfect school for yourself! This time of year for transfers is an incredibly anxious time, but just try and think about all of the exciting things that you get to look forward to. If you have not already, be sure to check out the Facebook group to get to know the other admitted transfer students!

I would highly recommend coming to visit campus, if you are able, to see if you can picture yourself at that school in the future. William & Mary is looking especially beautiful this time of year, so come on out and see how amazing it is for yourself!

I wish you all good luck in the future! If you need anything, feel free to reach out and email me with any questions. Hopefully I’ll see some of you next year. Congrats again, and welcome to the Tribe!
