Life in the Burg

It’s day two of the internship, and I am becoming accustomed once again to living back in Williamsburg. Although campus is a bit quieter during the summer months, there’s always something to do.

snotogoOne of my favorite things that’s close to campus is taking walks through Colonial Williamsburg. William & Mary students get into all of the attractions free with student I.D.’s, and I love walking behind the Governor’s Palace and doing the maze formed by bushes. I still laugh though when I run into colonial re-enactors all over the city in normal places such as our ever popular WaWa convenience store.

For more modern entertainment, we often turn to the many restaurants and pubs nearby. A typical evening out for me could include catching a movie in New Town’s movie theatre, grabbing dinner at California Tortilla, and then heading to Sno to Go for THE best snowcone and softserve combination ever. Seriously, if you haven’t been to Sno To Go yet, you must. It’s a local favorite.
