Things to Love About Spring at W&M

Springtime has finally arrived in Williamsburg! I first visited William & Mary on a perfect spring day in April 2010. I saw students hanging out on the terrace, napping in hammocks, playing Frisbee on the Sunken Garden, having picnics with their friends, and overall really enjoying themselves! It was because of that perfect spring day that I decided to spend the next four years of my life here at William & Mary. My favorite place to spend time on campus in springtime is the Lake Matoaka Amphitheater.  The view of the lake is absolutely breathtaking! It’s especially nice to take out a kayak or a canoe with some friends and just coast on the water for an afternoon.

Another one of my favorite things about William & Mary are the blackberry muffins sold at the Daily Grind. Every time I give a tour to prospective students, I point out the Daily Grind and encourage everyone to go buy a blackberry muffin at the end of the tour. I probably buy three blackberry muffins each week because they are so irresistible! Eating one of those muffins always makes my day a lot better. There are honestly hundreds of things about William & Mary that are my “favorite,” and the more time I spend here, the more I fall in love with the school!
