The three R’s- Relax

For the third part of this series I want to stress the importance of my last R- relax.   Many students will stress out about getting their applications completed and whether or not you will get into the college of your choice.  If you have performed to the best of your ability in high school, and you adhere to the deadlines posted, there is no need to be stressed out about the process.  The filling out of the application its just spitting out information that you already know really well (your name, address, phone number etc.) and information about yourself.  If you relax through this process, and have done the first 2 R’s I have mentioned (research and use your resources), then you will have a nice selection of colleges to apply to and a few to choose from in the end.  Take a deep breath, do the things that the admission office asks you to do.  If we do not ask you to do something, you should not be expected to complete it.  Admission officers try and make the process as transparent as we can.  Simply do what we ask, do what you can and everything will work out the way it should.  I hope that these three R’s help you maneuver through the admission process.  When you complete your research by using your resources and relax, the college admission process should be as easy as Reading, wRiting and aRithmetic.
