Right You’re Hearts Out!

What drew your eyes to this particular blog title? Were you drawn to the creativity of the title, or were you focused in on the spelling errors? The presence of grammatical and spelling mistakes within an application personal statement is like a pesky fly. You try your best not to pay attention to it, but it still manages to keep buzzing around your ear. No matter what your essay topic, you must make sure that you proofread. Also note that proofreading does not equal spell check. F7 is not the catchall for writing blunders. Make sure that you read over your work, and have someone else read it over as well. You will have at least two members of our dean staff reading your essay, and you don’t want us thinking of you as the pesky fly on the wall!
