Homecoming weekend

This weekend is homecoming at William and Mary and the students are really getting excited.  But, they are not the only ones who are getting excited.  As an alumnus of the college I am also looking forward to catching up with friends that I have not seen since this time last year, or even since we graduated a few years ago.   I am also excited to see the students I have had the pleasure of working with over the last three years.  Even though my college years overlapped with some of their student years, there have been students that I would not have interacted with had I not worked in the admission office.  I think that is the great thing about William and Mary.  The school is small enough where you will recognize faces and know a lot of people, but large enough that you do not know everyone on campus.  The college also allows you to be propelled into fields that you would have never been on your radar.  As a Kinesiology major, I had no intentions of working in the admission office, but I am so glad that I have had this opportunity.  So as homecoming approaches and the plans are made, I am looking forward to the personal relationships I have been able to develop as a student and as an administrator coming back to life.
