Decisions, Decisions – #wm2021 (aka 2017 Regular Decision Admit Edition)

We Admit It! It’s hard to put into words the absolute and unadulterated joy the members of our Admission Committee are feeling right now. We finally get to share the great news with you, the people who have so impressed and inspired us over the course of this admission cycle. Yes, “Good Things” means what you think it means. You are ACCEPTED to William & Mary. Congratulations! It is our absolute pleasure to welcome you to the Class of 2021.

You are the few, the proud, the phenomenally talented students who have earned admission to our university. You were selected from nearly 15,000 applicants, all of whom were fantastic and talented individuals. In short, you are the best of the best.

We use the term “earned” above because this accomplishment was exactly that: earned. You have spent countless hours challenging yourself in and out of the classroom in order to put yourself in this position. All of your hard work has earned you this admission offer, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish as a member of the Tribe.

Over the next few weeks, the final stage of your college search will begin: deciding where to spend the next four years of your life. While we will readily admit that we are a bit biased, we think that William & Mary is a fantastic choice. Similar to when you were deciding where to apply, visiting schools is perhaps the best way to make your final college decision. As such, we would like to invite you to our many exciting admitted student events taking place in April. Our Day for Admitted Students will take place on April 8, and will feature students, faculty and staff from across campus who can’t wait to welcome you to Williamsburg. You are also welcome to attend one of our myWM Monday events on either April 10, April 17 or April 24. Each of these campus events will provide you with an inside look at the William & Mary undergraduate experience.

We also encourage you to explore the Welcome website (linked in your decision email) and to join the Class of 2021 Facebook group. These online resources are meant to help you learn more about our university, and to get you excited about potentially making Williamsburg your home.

For tonight (and likely the next several nights) you should take some time to celebrate with your family and friends. It’s been a long journey, but you can finally bask in the light at the end of the tunnel. We are dancing and celebrating with you, and are eager for you to explore all that William & Mary has to offer. Congratulations again, and welcome to the Tribe.
